“Carpe Lignum, Torne Lignum”    Seize the Wood, Turn the Wood

Being a member of the North-West chapter of the Irish Woodturners Guild, I have been enjoying the craft of wood turning for many years. There is something very special about finding a piece of wood and making something beautiful and original with it.
Using only wood from sustainable sources, mostly  sourced locally from timber mills, fallen trees, cuttings, bogland (sometimes some exotic hardwoods fall into my hands), my aim is to create one-off original pieces of turned wood. Each piece is created to bring out the natural grain, textures and patterns found in the wood.

A selection of items are available to purchase from my studio, from my website and some local craft shops. I also sell on Etsy as DonegalWoodturning.
